I'm tired of holding on so tight,Of chasing dawns that never feel right. The map is torn, the stars are mute,And silence sings where dreams once took root.I fought the current, stroke by stroke,Till breath grew thin and spirit broke. Now I float, no oar in hand,A leaf adrift, too tired to stand. The river knows no mercy, noneIt pulls me under, hides the sun.I let it take me, come what may,No need to fight, no will to stay.Where it ends, I do not know,A quiet fall, a final flow.Perhaps I'll sink, perhaps I'll riseBut for now, I close my eyes.shivangpathak.author@gmail.com
